The 30-day routine

1. Wash: two or three times a week, in the shower. Washing every day can strip sensitive skin, so give it rest days. Work the Beard Wash down to the skin and rinse fully.
2. Condition: every time you wash. Apply, leave on for one to two minutes, then rinse.
3. Roll: two or three evenings a week, on clean, dry skin. Skip it on any day your skin feels raw. Rinse the roller in rubbing alcohol after each use and let it air dry.
4. Oil: every day, best right after a shower. Towel off lightly so your beard is still damp, then work 1 to 2 pulls from the dropper (3 to 4 for a longer beard) down to the skin and through the beard, and style. Applying later in the day? Hold a warm towel to your beard for 30 seconds to a minute to soften it first, then apply.

Note on the comedogenic scale: The four carrier oils in the base (grapeseed, sunflower, castor, and vitamin E) all sit at the low end of the 0–5 comedogenic scale. Ratings describe the pure ingredient, not the finished blend; vitamin E, for example, is 0.5% of the bottle.
